I have had the pleasure of knowing Chipp and Dawn Windham for numerous years personally and spiritually. It has been an honor to hear Chipp teach and speak on biblical truths and to see his leadership in action with youth ministry and leading a ministry team. I have observed Chipp as he has advanced his leadership skills through continued education and putting theory into practice. Because of my nursing leadership and a degree in management and organizational development, I have had opportunities to engage Chipp in significant discussions regarding leadership development, organizational culture, and what it means to be a leader in the secular and ministry worlds. I find our communications serve as an opportunity for my own personal growth and demonstrates Chipp’s desire to advance his own skills, including his concept of a diverse leadership paradigm based on an organization’s needs and values .
Dawn and Chipp share a passion for youth and music. Dawn has used her education in music to provide leadership to youth music and character building programs. Her commitment to youth has led her to completing a degree in elementary education, teaching in schools that serve at risk students. Her heart for these children has been demonstrated in tangible, physical needs she has provided and her pleas of prayer requests for those things that only God can intercede and do. Together, Chipp and Dawn use their music as an opportunity to extend their personal ministry in churches and the community they serve.
When I ponder on Chipp and Dawn’s professional and spiritual vocations, I am reminded of the story of Gideon in the book of Judges. God had a great calling of Gideon, a self-proclaimed weak person, the least of his family. Gideon was called by God to do great things – not because of his ability but because Gideon’s obedience found God’s favor. Chipp and Dawn exemplify this example of commitment and obedience in their personal and professional lives.

I have known Chipp Windham for nearly 25 years now. We worked to together with the Salvation Army during that time. He is creative problem solver. I have seen him in various leadership roles and situations, which need some quick thinking; he handled everything with grace. I found him, despite his great talents, especially in the area of music, to be helpful, and I would say even humble. He allowed a musician with nowhere near his talent, play in a band with him on guitar. He was always helpful and had a good sense of humor about my mistakes. He is a good man.
